Dynamic Strain Gauge System

The Dynamic Strain Gauge System (DSGS) was developed for performing both real-time and historical data tracking in product development test environments and existing system installations. The system was originally intended for monitoring valve integrity in support of rocket propulsion testing, but is appropriate for a wide range of applications.
The full system includes a base station and self-contained, microprocessor-controlled sensor units that transmit data to the base station via low-power, short-range digital radio communication links.
Dynamic Strain Gauge System is technology that can work with any sensing device, creating a wireless connection from the area being studied or requiring to be monitored.

- DSGS is suitable for applications in which there are requirements for long-term monitoring include
- Torsion, biaxial, and linear strain
- Temperatures
- Displacements
- Fluid flow
- DSGS data is suitable for correlation with FEA/CFD and other engineering analysis systems.
- DSGS can stand alone or can be incorporated into a WAN or LAN network that is part of a higher-level system.
- Sensor units are potted using a flame retardant epoxy for safe operation in potential hazardous or corrosive environments.
